The Marketing Department in the University of Louisville’s College of Business seeks qualified applicants for a full-time, teaching-intensive faculty position (non-tenure track) in Marketing to begin January 1, 2026. Expected teaching load is 4/4 (4 courses for 12 credit hours a semester, 24 credit hours per year). Appointment will be at the rank of instructor or assistant professor, depending upon academic credentials and experience.
The successful candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate courses in a seated format as well as online and hybrid (partially seated, partially online) courses. Primary teaching needs associated with this position involve Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the Marketplace (a course open to all students on campus) and Integrative Marketing Strategy (an advanced capstone class required for all Marketing majors). Secondary teaching needs include courses on Marketing Research/Customer Insights and Design Thinking.
Qualifications
For an appointment at the rank of instructor, candidates must possess an MBA or a master’s degree in marketing or a closely related field. For an appointment at the rank of assistant professor, candidates must have a Ph.D. in one of the listed areas. Candidates ideally will have experience teaching marketing courses at the university level.
