In our internship program you will be responsible for supporting your assigned team with a variety of projects and administrative work. No coffee runners work here in the summer; you will do real work that you can add to your resume once you have completed this program. As a Construction Lending Intern, you will…
- Assist in reviewing monthly construction reports and track progress against approved budgets and timelines.
- Assist in reviewing construction budgets and loan documentation.
- Help process and track draw requests and disbursements.
- Assist with time-sensitive and high-impact projects outside of core responsibilities.
- Participate in meetings with Loan Officers, Asset Managers, and project teams.
- Conduct research on market trends, construction costs, and project risks.
- Learn and apply relevant software tools used in loan servicing and project tracking.
- Collaborate closely with your direct manager and assign mentor to developer a comprehensive end of internship project.
- Deliver a formal presentation of the project to a broad audience, including the executive team
- Exposure to real-world construction loan processes and project management.
- Understanding of risk assessment and financial documentation.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams in a professional setting.
- Be assigned projects tailored to your department. The goal is that you will take what you have learned in your course work, apply it to your projects and then implement those solutions or recommendations. The aim is for these projects to help you build and broaden technical ability as well as help develop emotional intelligence (AKA soft skills).
- Have both a manager and mentor to help guide you through our program and your day-to-day work.
- Be given the opportunity to deliver a final presentation of your project results and make business recommendations to your department, team members and executive leadership.

Requirements
We are looking for…
- Students who have completed at least their sophomore year of college. College graduates are welcome to apply as well.
- High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution required.
- Pursuing a degree in Real Estate, Finance, Economics, Urban Planning, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills; proficiency in Excel required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
- Interest in multifamily housing and community-focused real estate.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior internship or coursework in real estate or finance is a plus.
