Senior Hardware Engineer
Huawei Helsinki Hardware and system Laboratory is seeking a Senior Hardware Engineer to join us in a technology project aimed at promote the quality of commercial products. The primary responsibility of this role is to analyze and verify the failure products, such as wearable and handset devices. You will collaborate with a team of experts from various domains.
Main Tasks:
- Responsibility for performing detailed failure cause analyses of engine board, battery and hardware system failures of consumer products, such as wearable, etc.
- Create accurate and comprehensive root cause reports, including analysis results, recommended corrective actions and their effects, as well as routines for hardware error analysis
- Close cooperate with interdisciplinary teams to reveal hardware-related root causes and implement preventive measures in future wearable products
- Create analyses plans, identify and follow up priorities
- Development and maintenance of a knowledge database on known hardware-related errors and their solutions in wearable products
- Support company's marketing or service team about hardware system in technical meetings and questions
Requirements:
- BSc/MSc degree in electrical engineering or similar, Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in the HW development, verification and industrialization of in consumer electronic production
- Strong experience in board level design for consumer devices, including schematics, PCB layout, simulation. etc. • Knowledge how to do lab measurements at board level and also at system level. For example, logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, and thermal cameras for debugging and validation. • Ability to perform root-cause analysis on failures at board level • Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken) • Ability to work independently, but also a cooperative team player • Suits well in a multicultural environment • Interest to learn new things every day and ability to learn effectively • Ability to work effectively on a changing environment (requirements, schedule etc. might change)

- RF understanding
- DISPLAY/camera/audio understanding
Contract type and starting date: This is a full-time consultant position; the consultant shall be employed by Huawei's supplier. We expect you to start as soon as possible and job will be filled as soon as suitable candidate has found.
