Research Assistant I/II

Research Assistant I/II in the Department of Emergency Medicine, School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.: 533269) (to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree or above in Statistics, Biostatistics, Data Analytics, Mathematics, or related disciplines, with at least 3 years’ full-time work experience. They should have a quantitative mind and good communication skills. Knowledge of medical statistics and proficiency in statistical software are highly preferred. Experience in big data analysis would be an advantage. Those who plan to pursue research postgraduate studies are welcome to apply. Applicants with less experience may be considered for appointment as Research Assistant II.

The appointee will join a research team led by Dr. Abraham Wai to perform big data analysis of a cohort database in Hong Kong. He/She will assist in grant applications, conduct presentations, and reports preparation for funded projects. The post provides a good training opportunity in academic writing and data analytic skills, as well as exposure to cohort data analysis.
