Research Lab Assistant-Pathology

Salary/Position Classification

• $17.00 hourly, Non-Exempt (Eligible for overtime)
• 8-12 hours per week
• 100% Remote Work Availability: No
• Hybrid Work Availability (requires some time on campus): No

Purpose Of Position

This is a part-time, non-benefited position. Only UND students are eligible to be hired in this position.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Will be taught how to make buffers, perform protein assays, PCR, Western Blot, Confocal Microscopy and Immunohistochemistry
• Summarize experimental data, prepare charts, figures, and presentations.
• Opportunity to participate in a 10-week undergraduate research program to be held Summer 2026 and could potentially assist with the program. - (Essential)

Minimum Requirements

• Undergraduate student with relevant coursework in Biology and other Biomedical Sciences.
• Preference will be given to current sophomores and juniors.
• Availability for work at least 8-12 hours per week to allow adequate time for training.
• Must be able to follow directions and ask questions for clarification if needed
• Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check
• Detail-oriented.
• Motivated to learn new biomedical research technical skills.
• Ability to work independently in performance of everyday tasks.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous laboratory experience helpful but not required as training will be provided.
