Bitterne Park School is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic High-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our dynamic team. If you are passionate about supporting student learning and development, this is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact within our school community.
Your Role
As a High-Level Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
- Providing high-quality support to classroom teachers by leading small group sessions and delivering targeted interventions to improve student outcomes.
- Assisting with planning, delivering, and evaluating engaging educational activities tailored to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Supporting students with special educational needs and helping them to achieve their individual learning goals.
- Monitoring and assessing student progress, maintaining accurate records, and providing feedback to teachers and parents.
- Promoting positive behavioral expectations and maintaining a safe and supportive learning environment.
What We Are Looking For
We seek individuals who are passionate about education and possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Experience working in a school environment, preferably in a teaching assistant role.
- HLTA qualification or equivalent is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of the educational needs of children and how to support them effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team while demonstrating initiative and adaptability.

Requirements
- Experience in a school setting, preferably as a teaching assistant or in a similar role.
