Job Description

The Head of Finance – International Region Imaging will provide strategic leadership for the finance business partnership function, ensuring alignment of financial strategies with overall company goals. The role collaborates with executive management and business unit regional leaders to develop and execute financial strategies that drive growth, profitability, and sustainability in the Regions/Zones. The role oversees imaging equipment & service financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting; acts as key stakeholder to balance revenue and margin across imaging commercial deals within the Region/Zones; realizes margin step up through product mix with front line teams and drives E2E MCOS optimizations. The role will also drive transformation and redesign from the current Finance way of working in the Regions/Zones to new operating model, including FP&A, Finance BP and other Hub support.

Your Role:

  • Provide strategic leadership and vision for the finance business partnership function, align financial strategies in the Regions/Zones with the company’s overall goals and ensure finance team as key driver of business success. Collaborate closely with executive management, Regional Business Leaders (RBLs) and Region Finance Business Partners to develop and execute financial strategies (including account planning) that support growth in market share, year-on-year profitability step-up, and long-term sustainability. Provide integral financial insights to strategic decision-making. Oversee the financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes for imaging business units. Ensure robust and data-driven financial plans in the Regions/Zones which are aligned with company’s strategic objectives.
  • Lead cross imaging equipment deals and co-lead cross BU multi-modality deals based on Deal Board approval process. Drive balance between revenue and margin, short-term/ long-term while  maximize deal benefit via CLV, Service contracts and installed-based end-of-life management. Drive imaging equipment mix improvement with front line team and zones to realize margin step up.
  • Lead and drive E2E imaging equipment MCOS optimization and realize strategic plans.
  • Play a pivotal role in the roll-out of performance obligation split to improve forecast reliability.
  • Drive integral (EQ+ SV) performance management and gap closure plans to meet AOP financial commitment
  • Lead and drive transformation and redesign from the current Finance way of working in the Regions/Zones to new operating model, including FP&A, Finance BP and other Hub support. Lead initiatives to design and implement an eco-system upon financial processes, systems, and tools across the organization to foster a culture of continuous improvement, while leverage technology to enhance financial planning and reporting. Improve financial tools and processes by identifying issues, suggesting upgrades, and leading cross-functional efforts to boost efficiency and accuracy.
  • Develop and deepen partnership with RBLs, Zone leaders, Zone HOFs and RBF-teams to unlock integral revenue/ IGM potentials for imaging business. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organization, including ISC, sales, marketing, and business central team, to ensure integrated financial and business decisions in the Regions/Zones. Liaison between Region/Zone and Global BUs to improve operational performance like DEFOA, DOA, MOA and supply lead times.
  • Lead the creation of advanced financial models to evaluate key strategic options like market expansion, acquisitions, and new products. Guide strategic decisions, evaluate and prioritize major investments, and offer financial advice to ensure alignment with the company’s long-term goals. Prepare clear, high-level financial presentations for ExCo/BoM.
  • Champion financial integrity and compliance across the organization, ensure adherence to corporate governance standards/ internal controls/regulatory requirements, and proactively address financial risks.

You are the right fit if:

  • 15+ years experience in Finance management and experience in team management/ matrix stakeholder management. Recent experience as market Head of Finance for Imaging equipment business is highly preferred. 
  • Experience in preparing and designing long-term commercial deals with Zone team (incl. T&C/ indexation clauses). Experience in various Zone imaging equipment related activities, such as: improving pricing & integral mix (e.g. CLV and key portfolio attachment rate), reducing MCOS (incl. Warranty, installation cost, Market cycle time improvement), optimizing 3rd party quoting criteria (incl. agent-model (aka ‘Kassel-model’) optimizations, and business partnering of zone day-to-day finance activities. 
  • Proven track records of realizing financial strategic plans, specifically in commercial areas, and leading gap closure actions to meet financial commitment with region teams.
  • Proven track record of designing a harmonized, automized and integrated pocket-price waterfall plans, and boosting TPR while preventing value leakage.
  • Proven track record of finance transformation, specifically in IR region with cross department finance teams. Deep understanding of the commercial financial processes (e.g. revenue recognition, Equipment OIT, approval flows, MEC processes and FX impacts with Emerging markets) related to equipment sales in the Regions to guide the direct/ indirect team while designing a future fit organization.
  • Proven track record to lead imaging equipment commercially and improve funnel quality, OOH-position to ensure an ongoing pipe-line filling, constantly critically reviewing the quality of already booked OIT to prevent de-booking and turn-around market share position.
  • Ability to trade-off in imaging equipment deals , incl. P&L and BLS (payment terms) to optimize cash flow for Imaging International Region.
  • Proven track record to partner with all levels within team Philips to ensure on-time/in full delivery to end-customers, including managing dependencies like site readiness and export sanctions/restrictions. Experience in turning business around. Manage stakeholder successfully. Ability to partner with management at all levels and to lead major projects and initiatives, and excel in stakeholder management.
  • A strong communicator. Work effectively across matrix organizations. Think analytically. Lead actionable growth opportunities. Problem solve pragmatically.
  • Ability to cover multiple time zones (+9 CET and -7 CET) with a mature cultural understanding to engage with colleagues with diverse backgrounds.
  • Proven track record leading virtual, and high-performance teams, developing talents and embracing ‘Patient Safety & Quality’ mindset.

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week.
Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities.
Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.
