The Association of Former Students engages and inspires the Aggie Network for Texas A&M University in perpetuating the Aggie Spirit. Through our Annual Fund, as well as other revenue streams, we provide scholarships, endowments, emergency student loans, and awards for faculty. Our newest colleague will join our Marketing and Communication team in advancing our mission by providing video production support to departmental staff, programs, campus beneficiaries and affiliate organizations.

Essential Functions
- Experience filming and an extensive knowledge of video, including but not limited to ISO, white balance, frame rate, file formatting, etc.
- Sound capture and editing for video.
- Editing professional-quality video from conception to completion using Adobe Premier and After Effects software.
- Project administration.
- Maintain sense of urgency throughout all projects from conception to completion.
- Excellent time management, written and oral communication.
- Cultivate positive working relations through collaboration with cross-functional team members in Marketing and Communication and Web Operations.
- Engagement in Marketing and Communication events outside of normal business hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
- ROUTINE DUTIES
- Reporting to the Assistant Vice President of Marketing and Communication.
- Film and edit video material from activities and events at the Clayton W. Williams, Jr. Alumni Center and on/off campus.
- Set up light packages for interviews.
- Produce videos to be used on various Association communications channels (i.e., Huddleston Video Wall, social media, AggieNetwork.com, presentations, etc.).
- Organize and archive footage for use in current and future projects.
- Create presentations using both video and photography for Association activities/events.
- Work on a daily basis with PC editing software.
- Engage as needed on special projects.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES (minimum requirements)
Proficient knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite (i.e., Premier, After Effects, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat) for the design of graphics to be used in videos and other multimedia projects. Professionalism, accuracy, efficiency, discretion and organizational skills. Exceptional time management skills that support a high-functioning, multi-tasking, and deadline-driven work environment. Flexibility to change focus or adjust outcomes based on departmental needs. Exercise engagement to anticipate and take initiative without first being asked. Critical thinking and proactive problem solving. Intermediate processing and spreadsheet/database skills (MS Office Suite, Outlook, Google Suite, Excel). Cross-generational communication and interpersonal skills that allow for developing strong, long-lasting relationships with a wide variety of personalities.
Physical Capacity Requirements
Ability to sit or stand for long periods on occasion and carry objects up to 10 pounds. The ability to work at a desk with frequent use of keyboard and monitor. Experience
Required: Experience filming and photographing on Canon cameras with light package set up and sound for interview sessions, as well as editing professional-quality video from conception to completion using Adobe Premier and After Effects software.
Preferred: Demonstrated proficiency in non-linear editing software package.
Education
- Required: Current student at Texas A&M University or Blinn College.
- Preferred: Applicants able to work at this position for 2+ years are preferred due to the amount of training involved.
