Skill Team Lead- EDD

A Purpose Driven Role For You

Role is to technically manage projects and guide as well help in the building of a highly capable team of design engineers, fit for improving existing designs and understanding and taking up any future technology. The existing team of designers need to be supported in gaining a higher level of technical expertise. Hence such team needs guidance to be technology driven and to work in a structured and methodological way to achieve highest standards. A full usage of modern frontloading technologies is expected.

A Day In The Life

Lead Designer Engines & Transmissions reporting to HOD
Working within a Design & Analysis Management team consisting Design Manager, Chief Engineer & Chief Analyst, working together to provide technical & project leadership managing a technical team, ensuring quality standards are continued to be developed and
Knowledge of electrical hybrid integration and application is a bonus.
Application of basic engineering delivery tools inclusive of; Product Specification, Design Review,
DFMEA, DVP/SOR, within the conceptual and definitive phases of any product design delivery.
Use of PLM data management systems, TeamCentre knowledge would be advantageous.
Support the build-up of expertise within the existing design team
Support in expanding the team with experienced new members
Ensure full guidance / training to allow fast track expertise build
Preparation and implementation of HMCL’s own engine design process and methodology

Academic Qualification & Experience

• Masters Engineering Degree ICE/Combustion Specialization
• Min. 12 years in relevant work

Technical Skills/Knowledge

• Solid internal combustion engine background
• Hands on expertise in design tools (ProE, Catia)
• Understanding engine development process
• Understanding and experience in design methodology and frontloading
• Proven record of work on gasoline and 2 wheeler engine

Behavioural Skills

• Strong team building capability
• Willingness to share experience
• Keen on new ideas and technologies
• Dynamic and proactive work approach
