The Lending Systems Manager is responsible for providing leadership and technical direction and support to the Lending enterprise applications. This position will maintain a high level of systems availability and ensure lending system operations are executed properly and on time. The position will lead several teams in diagnosing and resolving complex technology issues and requires the application of thoughtful analysis and independent judgment. This position works closely with many departments and leaders throughout the organization. The position is also responsible for managing relationships with vendors and service providers. Identifies new opportunities within your applications to meet Credit Union growth and strategic goals.
Duties And Responsibilities:
- Leading the lending system teams by providing technical strategy and oversight of process execution, system stability, and process improvements.
- Oversee the development of Supervisors to move them to the next level.
- Provide ongoing coaching and training with your team’s supervisors, helping them grow professionally and achieve their goals.
- Mentoring leadership personnel to build cross functional teams focusing on coverage and long-term sustainability; ensuring proper standards are met and all lending applications are appropriately administered.
- Oversee the implementation of standards, policies, and processes, and develop KPIs to assess success.
- Developing an in-depth technical knowledge of organizational processes and business requirements while overseeing the design and implementation of process improvements.
- Overseeing system deployments, monitoring, and maintenance of all lending systems, including system updates, new feature releases, and regulatory changes.
- Ensures technical safeguards are maintained to control user system access while maintaining the integrity of the financial and user data.
- Managing critical vendor relationships and vendor contracts.
- Develop strong relationships and regular routines with leaders, stakeholders, and product owners that your systems support.
- Provide oversight on various complex projects that focus on improving operational effectiveness, system maturity, and efficiency.
- Act as a consultant for business units throughout the organization to understand workflows, processes, data collection, reporting needs and other technical issues associated with your lending application software.
- Oversee departmental budget planning and resourcing.
- Responsible for defining work assignment and workload management for team(s).
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Business (or related field) required. 5 years of relevant IT systems experience required. 2 years’ management experience required. Must be familiar with corporate IT infrastructure and have a holistic understanding of how an IT support group operates. Experience project management, stakeholders’ outreach and managing critical vendors required. Self-motivated individual with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage changing priorities. Willingness to work outside of normal business hours. Ability to communicate with Executive Management. Strong technical leader with solid people management skills. Excellent English oral and written communication skills. Ability to always maintain the confidentiality of the Credit Union and member records.
Performance Standard:
Understand and direct computer system and implement resolution to system problems. Make recommendations to meet the goals and objectives of the Credit Union functions, procedures, and policies. Analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems. Must be willing to comply with the Bank Secrecy Act and USA Patriot Act as implemented by ICCU.
Physical Requirements:
- Perform tasks requiring manual dexterity (processing paperwork, filing, stapling, sorting, collating, typing, counting cash, etc.).
- Sit for extended periods of time.
- Lift 20-40 pounds of applicable supplies including but not limited to copy paper, cash drawers, marketing material, etc.
- Repetitive motion using wrists, hands, and fingers.
- Reach keyboards.
- Ability to operate basic office machines (calculator, computer, telephone, copy machine, fax machine, etc.).
