Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) Engineer, Professional 3 to join our team in Bayan Lepas, Malaysia. In this critical role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining EHS programs to ensure compliance with local and international standards while promoting a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.

• Develop and implement comprehensive EHS policies, procedures, and programs aligned with Malaysian regulations and international best practices
• Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits to identify potential hazards and areas for improvement
• Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective action implementations
• Manage environmental impact assessments and develop strategies to minimize the organization's environmental footprint
• Provide expert guidance on occupational health and safety practices to all levels of the organization
• Analyze EHS data and prepare detailed reports for management and regulatory bodies
• Coordinate and deliver EHS training programs to employees at all levels
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate EHS considerations into project planning and execution
• Stay current with evolving EHS regulations and industry trends, ensuring the organization remains compliant and adopts best practices

Qualifications

Required:

Bachelor's degree in environmental engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field

Preferred:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in EHS roles, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing setting
• In-depth knowledge of Malaysian environmental and safety regulations
• Proficiency in EHS management system (ISO 14001, ISO 45001), RBA, etc.
• Strong understanding of risk assessment methodologies and mitigation strategies
• Proven track record in developing and implementing effective EHS programs
• Relevant EHS certifications (Safety and Health officer, Radiation protection officer) are highly desirable
• Fluency in English and proficiency in Malay

• Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple initiatives simultaneously 
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization
