About The Role:

At Origin, we’re reimagining how we deliver energy solutions for customers, communities, and the planet.

As a Test Engineer, you’ll ensure high-quality delivery by designing and executing end-to-end testing for new and existing features, combining automation with hands-on validation.

Collaborating closely with development teams, you’ll build resilient feedback loops, identify issues early, and help deliver reliable, high-performing solutions.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Design, execute, and automate test cases to ensure broad coverage of features and systems.
• Develop, maintain, and evolve automation frameworks and testing processes.
• Collaborate with Developers, Product Owners, and Business Analysts across the delivery lifecycle.
• Configure and manage test environments, data, and applications hosted in AWS.
• Conduct performance and API testing, identifying bottlenecks and ensuring reliability.
• Troubleshoot customer identity, access, and user issues, working with Cloud Engineering as needed.
• Drive continuous improvement by introducing innovative testing methods and automation practices.

Skills & Requirements

• 5+ years’ experience in automation testing, with strong skills in UI automation (Playwright or TestCafe) using JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Proven experience with API testing (e.g., Postman), CI/CD pipelines, and tools such as GitHub and Jenkins.
• Hands-on knowledge of Docker and monitoring tools like Grafana.
• Familiarity with collaboration and project tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Asana, Slack).
• Strong communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, adapt in ambiguous environments, and take on tasks beyond core competencies.
• A proactive, “can-do” attitude with a focus on continuous learning and innovation.
