Company Description

  • Mai te hiku ki te taurapa, whitikina e te rā
  • From the tail of the fish to the tail of the waka, shines the sun

Meridian is Aotearoa’s largest renewable electricity producer, generating power from 100% renewable sources—wind, water, and sun!

Mō te tūranga | What you’ll be doing

Based out of our Manapōuri Hydro Power Station, this role focuses on executing scheduled maintenance works and assisting with projects on-site to ensure the continued reliability of our hydro generation assets.

As an Electrical Fitter, you'll be on the front line of our maintenance delivery and fault response capability by:

  • Responding to faults and emergencies
  • Undertaking maintenance projects when required
  • Repairing, maintaining, and installing electrical equipment
  • Effectively investigating and resolving faults
  • Using your skills to ensure all work is undertaken safely, accurately, and on time.

Meridian is a NZ-wide operation, and there may be a requirement for short periods of travel to suit the operational needs of the business. Additionally, the role involves reactive maintenance and monitoring outside of regular working hours on a rostered basis once trained.

This is an on-site role, working a 9-day fortnight with regular working hours (7:15 am – 4:30 pm). Given the remote location of our Manapōuri site, your commute includes travel by boat before your start time.

Relocation Is Supported.
