Team Rubicon (TR) is seeking a Lead, Technical Operations to join TR's Technology team! The Lead, Technical Operations will be responsible for owning, scaling, and driving efficiency across the IT, Cloud, and Cyber Security domains at Team Rubicon. This will require the ability to partner with third-party service providers, offshore resources, and stakeholders within the organization to make sure that every dollar spent in the IT space is delivering as much impact as possible. The Lead, Technical Operations will be responsible for maintaining relationships with third party service providers and offshore resources in the help desk, as well as monitoring and maintaining Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and leveraging Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to help ensure that the organization’s goals are being met.
Every day will be a challenge, but every month brings new opportunities for an organization that is quickly becoming a household name in disaster response. This position reports to TR’s Deputy Director, Technology and is based remote anywhere within the United States.
Duties:
- Oversee daily IT operations, ensuring system uptime and reliability.
- Implement standard operating policies and procedures that comply with industry best practices and organizational workflows.
- Maintain relationships with third-party service providers and offshore resources.
- Monitor service level agreements (SLAs) and leverage key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure goals are met.
- Enforce compliance with contracts, privacy regulations, and internal policies.
- Ensure cybersecurity standards and data protection protocols are upheld.
- Partner with key members of every department to understand friction points within the IT and Technology space and work to remove or minimize those challenges. Collaborate with senior leadership to set departmental IT goals and ensure the team has the resources and support to achieve them.
- Leverage change management best practices to plan and execute technology upgrades, migrations, and process improvements.
Education And Background:
- Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Engineering, or a related field
- 5-7 years of experience in a technical role including 2–3 years in a supervisory and/or lead capacity
- Proven experience in IT operations management, network and system administration, and cloud computing platforms
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills
- Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices and compliance standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Special Requirements:
- This is a full-time; REMOTE position and can be based anywhere within the continental United States and provides a flexible & non-traditional work schedule (relocation expenses not provided)
- Expect to travel at minimum four times a year (once per quarter) for Quarterly Planning & Design Sessions, as well as other opportunities to engage with staff and volunteers in the field
- As with any Technology focused role, you will sometimes be required to work nights or weekends to resolve critical issues or roll out new features
Job Type:
- Full-time; salary, exempt
Pay Range:
- $87,145.60 - $129,975.30 per year
