About The Role:
Healthy Families is a nationally accredited home visiting program that partners with new and expecting families power through stressful life situations to help their family grow healthy, happy and safe. The program supports new and expectant parents through outreach, education and community support.
As a full-time Healthy Families (HF) Program Supervisor you’ll provide team leadership and support to a team of dedicated professionals who engage in building trusting relationships with families to promote positive parenting, increase child physical, emotional and education development and enhance the home environment. From problem-solving to mentoring others, your contributions in the Healthy Families program will play a pivotal role in achieving the CHS mission of building bridges to success for children.
Healthy Families (HF) Program Supervisor oversees Healthy Families program team members in the screening, assessment, development and execution of realistic and effective plans that empower families to enhance the home environment for the physical, mental and emotional well-being of children who may be at risk of abuse or neglect. This involves delegating and overseeing work assignments to meet service delivery needs and contract standards, while supporting team members in their personal and professional development.
Key Responsibilities
- Overseeing the screening, assessment, development and execution of plans to empower families to improve the physical, mental and emotional well being of children who may be at risk of abuse or neglect.
- Delegating to direct report team and overseeing work assignments to meet service delivery needs and contract standards, while supporting team members in their personal and professional development.
- Providing case consultation and in-service training, as needed.
- Assisting in family assessment services, crisis case support and resource assistance, when needed.
- Meeting with direct report team weekly to review cases, provide quality assurance checks, coach for ongoing performance, and focus on the client family and the infant/child experience.
- Preparing, reviewing and following up on necessary reports to internal and external entities.
- Attending meetings with the program manager, community leaders and other agencies.
What We're Looking For
We’Re Seeking Individuals Who Have:
- A strong work ethic and reliability built over years of professional and personal growth.
- A passion for leadership, teamwork and contributing to a shared vision.
- Exceptional communication, problem-solving and organizational skills, as well as some computer skills, namely Microsoft Office.
- An ability to typically work Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with availability to work outside these hours to complete home visits or attend to other activities, when needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in a Human Services-related field or two years college/associate’s degree in a Human Services-related field with 3 years experience working with families and the Healthy Families program. In lieu of a degree, holding the Child Development Associate Credential, plus 4 years of experience with the Healthy Families program will also work.
- Experience working with culturally diverse young children and their families.
- A Florida drivers’ license or ability to obtain one within 30 days from hire, with daily access a reliable and insured vehicle or transportation.
- An ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
- Ability to speak Spanish, a plus.
