Job Summary:
As the Senior Director of IT, you will be a key strategic leader, reporting directly to the CFO. Your role is pivotal in planning, directing, implementing, upgrading, and supporting enterprise systems that align with the Company’s overarching goals and objectives. You will provide visionary leadership over the infrastructure, including server administration, operation monitoring, support, and enterprise architecture. Managing a team of IT professionals across infrastructure, applications, cybersecurity, and support services, you will also foster strong partnerships with business units and executive leadership.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the maintenance, design, development, and implementation of IT applications in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Responsible for maintaining control and security of all aspects of IT services and information management requirements with a strong understanding of security risks and mitigation planning.
- Lead and drive IT operational efficiency and excellence by implementing strong cost controls, optimizing resources, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement across all IT functions
- Identify areas for improvement in IT support processes and implement solutions.
- Work effectively with all levels of management and users to position the company for future growth and enhanced services.
- Create and implement sound internal controls and best practices for all IT services.
- Ensure company-wide IT business continuity, security, and disaster recovery planning and execution.
- Work closely with the VP of Finance to manage the overall IT capital and expense budget.
- Coordinate and plan evaluations of infrastructure hardware and software alternatives and make recommendations.
- Ensure that the Company has a core team of talented IT professionals who always offer best-in-class solutions and practices.
- Research emerging cloud technologies in support of infrastructure development efforts and recommend technologies that will increase cost effectiveness and infrastructure flexibility.
- Remain informed on trends and issues in the IT and security industries, including current and emerging technologies and prices; advise, counsel, and educate executive and management teams on their relative importance and financial impact.
- Oversee daily IT operations, ensuring reliable performance, availability, and security of systems and services.
- Manage enterprise applications, network and infrastructure operations, helpdesk support, and data management.
- Negotiate and manage vendor contracts and service-level agreements.
- At our company, we understand the importance of technical capabilities. As the Senior Director of IT, you will be responsible for Implementing workforce planning and training strategies to build and enhance these capabilities.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track IT performance and value delivery.
- Provide oversight and direction on major IT projects and programs, ensuring they are delivered on time and within scope and budget.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business, or related field.
- Ten or more (10+) years’ experience managing and directing an IT Operation with infrastructure planning and development.
- Ten or more (10+) years’ experience leading a team of highly skilled technical professionals.
- Demonstrated experience with MS Office365, MS Active Directory, MS Teams, MS AD, Windows 10, Windows Server (2016, 2019, 2019(R2)), Linux, DNS, DHCP, Basic VOIP, IPSec VPNs, FortiGate firewall, VLANs, and Routing
- Knowledge of software platforms: UKG Pro, HES, CAS, SharePoint, ERP software, Sage 50, and PBXact phone system
- Strong Analytical, critical thinking, and time management skills
- Ability to evaluate technologies and solutions and work with business partners to document ROI and benefit the business. Able to quickly judge technologies that will be of benefit and lead prototyping efforts.
- A strong focus on delivering business value, translating potential technical solutions into realistic business cases and successful projects.
- Ability to effectively manage change both within IT and across the organization.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask activities.
- Able to work in a team environment with individuals of all leadership styles, personalities, and career levels.
- Must be able to handle sensitive issues with tact and maintain strict confidentiality of private information.
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate keen attention to detail and task-related accuracy, as well as consistent follow-through skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Work Environment:
- Hours of work may vary depending on business needs; ability and willingness to travel with no travel restrictions.
- This role is primarily in an office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. Specific vision capabilities are required; the employee must work in front of a computer, sitting for prolonged periods.
- This job occasionally operates within a refrigerated warehouse, where temperatures range from 45-55°F or in a greenhouse with temperatures up to 100°F in the summer months. The noise level in the work environment can be loud due to the operation of packaging machinery and forklift trucks.
- The position may involve lifting 30 pounds, occasionally up to 50 pounds.
