Job Description
North America is the largest of Visa’s five geographic regions and drives over 40% of the company’s total revenue. North America Strategy team works directly with the region’s President and other members of the North America leadership team to chart the region’s medium-term and long-term strategy, to tackle the toughest strategic questions facing Visa’s business in the U.S. and Canada. Senior Director will report directly to SVP, Head of Strategy for North America and will be key member of the Strategy group’s leadership team.
Key Responsibilities Will Include:
- Lead complex projects / initiatives to tackle toughest strategic challenges within the North America region
- Manage high-performing, cross-functional teams
- Develop rigorous, fact based, quantitative analysis to support recommendations. Ensure strategic and financial soundness and alignment for any recommendations
- Work closely with cross-functional and regional management teams on strategic projects, bringing timely and useful insight and analytical support
- Develop clear and concise executive level communications. Communicate recommendations to senior management, other executive, functional, or regional staff and management in a clear, concise and impactful way
- Provide continuous coaching and training to strategy teams
This is a hybrid position. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office three days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday).
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
• 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 10 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/MBA /JD/MD), or a minimum of 5 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications
• 15 or more years of experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 12 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, or MD), PhD with 9+ years of experience
• 8 or more years of experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, investment banking or equivalent
• Experience in and/or significant exposure to the payments industry
• Ability to independently lead and manage several projects with multiple workstreams, with proven leadership success over a wide variety of functional business problems
• Superior analytical and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor, attention to detail and ability to structure and analyze sophisticated financial modeling
• Personal presence and ability to clearly communicate compelling messages to senior stakeholders and external business partners
Additional Information
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 229,000.00 to 357,950.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
