  • Contractor must possess working knowledge of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process, including its phases and documentation requirements for system authorization and accreditation.
  • Contractor shall be familiar with information system principles, control families, system components, and configurations to evaluate system vulnerabilities and potential threats such as hacking, denial of service, and malicious software.
  • Contractor is responsible for ensuring that personnel performing cybersecurity roles are properly certified in accordance with DoD 8570.01-M and AFM 17-1303 standards.
  • Contractor shall assist in enforcing cybersecurity certification requirements and preparing corrective actions when personnel fall short of compliance with DoD 8570.01.
  • Contractor shall support the implementation of DoD, USAF, and MAJCOM cybersecurity policies by updating local processes and procedures to align with operational demands.
  • Contractor will help coordinate and fulfill Information Assurance (IA) and cybersecurity requirements in alignment with DoD policies, standards, and system architectures.
  • Contractor shall support system lifecycle management from concept through decommissioning, including system monitoring and risk assessment.
  • Contractor will assist in preparing key RMF documents, such as IT Categorization Determinations, Information Assurance Strategies (IAS), Information Assurance Plans (IAP), System Security Plans (SSP), and other security documentation.
  • Contractor shall contribute to IA functions like Interconnection Security Agreements (ISA), Verification and Validation testing, requirements identification, and configuration management reviews.
  • Contractor will provide IA liaison services between system developers, users, and program management, and lead the IA Integrated Process Team (IAIPT) as needed.
  • Contractor will assist in reviewing IA requirements for Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), and ensure technical security implementations meet DoD, NIST, and JSIG standards.
  • Contractor must have working knowledge of telecommunications systems and media to assess vulnerabilities and implement protective measures against espionage and service disruptions.
  • Contractor will apply principles of computer science, information management, and automated data processing to support system design, integration, and troubleshooting.
  • Contractor will assist with minicomputer and mainframe systems, using standard techniques to develop and integrate data processing systems and computer simulations.
  • Contractor shall formulate architectural designs and system specifications for hardware/software and adapt standardized engineering techniques to develop or modify systems.
  • Contractor will recommend advanced storage and data retrieval methods and help define functional requirements for new or existing information systems.
  • Contractor shall support modification of Acquisition IA/Cybersecurity Strategy for external systems and evaluate various security software solutions for government use.
  • Contractor will monitor system integrity, perform system access/revocation tasks, and report incidents such as viruses or classified message violations per AFSSI 5021.
  • Contractor shall assist with the security clearance and sanitization of systems in accordance with AFSSI 5020 and support development of system-level cybersecurity documentation and assessments.
  • Contractor will provide input on program protection for acquisition documents (SOOs, PWSs, RFPs), assist with export control compliance, and evaluate procedures for handling classified and critical information.

Qualifications:

Education/Certifications/Experience/Skills:

  • BA/BS or Master of Arts/ Master of Science (MA/MS) degree and over 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Must possess and maintain a government security clearance at the Secret level.
  • Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft programs (including Excel, Word, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Visio, and Project).
  • Must be able to perform all functional duties independently.
  • Must be able to transport self to various facility sites, as required. If using own motor vehicle, must possess a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.
