Site Reliability Engineer – Data Platform

Your future role within QRT

We are looking for an exceptional Site Reliability Engineer to be an integral member of the Data Engineering team. We work closely to solve challenging problems that have direct impact on our business and trading. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting and scaling our data platform, with a focus on our batch and streaming data pipelines. You will have the opportunity to develop highly scalable and performant solutions, while partnering with various stakeholders within QRT. Prior experience with financial data is beneficial but not necessary; we welcome talented developers without a background in financial services and are happy to provide training and guidance.

• Designing, developing and maintaining scalable and robust infrastructure
• Application deployment: provide efficient and robust deployment mechanism to the engineering teams to improve time to market
• Troubleshooting and support: offer expert troubleshooting support and assistance when issues arise, ensuring a smooth and efficient resolution process, continuously improve observability to be proactive

Your Present Skillset

• Strong experience with a cloud provider (AWS preferred) using Terraform to manage infrastructure as code (module development)
• Excellent knowledge of Kubernetes (EKS) and the ecosystem (Argo CD, Helm chart)
• Proficient understanding of Python code, system architecture, and DevOps toolchains
• Additional skills: experienced with Linux, Docker, monitoring and logging tools, any language toolchains, and basic understanding of machine architecture
• Excellent communication skills, and ability to collaborate effectively in a small, close-knit team
• Fluency in English
