Your Role:
At MilliporeSigma the Manufacturing Technician 3 (Night Shift) will assist with the manufacturing of products according to established protocols, provide technical support to others, and perform operations in support of the group and department. This position is based in St. Louis at 3500 Dekalb Street.
Responsibilities:
- Receive materials, supplies or equipment and place in proper storage locations
- Transport chemicals and equipment to and from processes. This includes using transfer systems such as pumps and piping or fork trucks, and hand operations with and without mechanical assists such as pallet jacks or dollies
- Set-up, prepare and manufacture products according to current manufacturing procedures
- Perform designated processing such as resin regeneration, meat grinding, extractions, chromatography, analytical work, dryer loading/unloading, or other processing
- Identify malfunctions in equipment operation and, with appropriate approval, take corrective actions, such as reconfiguring equipment, adjustment of set points or adjusting operating parameters
- Contribute to support functions of the group, for example maintain equipment, prepare reagents, restock lab supplies and waste disposal
- Follow procedures and safety policies including following industry or government guidelines such as Process Safety Management (PSM) or Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
- Follow policies and procedures in order to guarantee production groups and outside vendors receive information and materials conforming to their expectations in support of current quality systems
- 2nd Shift This is a 12-hour rotating shift (6:30pm-7am). Rotational scheduled entails alternating between 3 day and 4 day work week. Shift includes alternating weekend hours
Physical Attributes:
- Occasional lifting, pulling and pushing of up to 80lbs
Who You Are
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years of cGMP, pharmaceutical, or other scientific manufacturing or laboratory discipline
- Associate's Degree in Manufacturing Operations, Chemical Handling, Process Technology Operations, or related discipline
- Basic Laboratory skills
- Basic Knowledge of Chemistry and math
- Strong practical knowledge of the relevant production equipment, analytical equipment and techniques
- Safe chemical handling methods
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Basic PC operations
- Mechanical skills
- Trouble shooting skills
- Interpersonal skills
- Time Management and Organization skills
- Attention to detail
- Knowledge of ISO quality standards
Pay Range for this position - $23.00 - $35.00/Hour
The offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors.
