Role Summary
Rowan Digital Infrastructure is seeking a Senior Manager of People Operations to be responsible for overseeing the HR operations, systems, and processes that drive efficiencies in order to scale effectively. This position reports to the Director of People & Culture. It is a key role that will build new approaches to deliver a great employee experience and aim to implement HR Operations strategies as we continue to grow. We’re looking for someone who knows what is possible from HR operations, systems processes, and infrastructure perspective and is ready to help create this at Rowan. The work you do here will have a noticeable and direct impact on the development of the company.
- Travel: Ability to travel up to (20%) to company location or for meetings.
- Location: Denver, CO (hybrid 3 days in-office role)
- Compensation: $150-$185K (Offers Bonus)
Essential Responsibilities
- Build and scale critical HR infrastructure that enables Rowan’s future successful growth
- Provide leadership, support, and guidance to leaders across the organization
- Lead our efforts to streamline our HR systems and processes - improving operability of our HRIS system, automating workflows and approvals, and creating and monitoring audit controls for compliance and accuracy
- Develop, evolve, implement and lead all People Operations functions, including onboarding/ offboarding, compliance, program management, immigration, leave management, people analytics and systems
- Own the delivery, documentation, and effectiveness of core People processes, systems of record, and communication protocols with other functions such as Finance, Payroll, and Legal
- Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations for national workforce
- Build dashboards that use metrics and analytics to create insights and keep executives informed on progress and decisions through simple and effective communications, presentations, and people analytics
Education, Skills, and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in operations management, business administration, or related field, and 7-9 years of relevant experience
- Self-directed People Ops leader with progressive HR Experience ideally in a high-growth or startup environment
- Strong HR functional expertise with operations, technology, systems implementations, reporting, data, and analytics
- Demonstrated track record of bringing a strategic mindset, strong collaboration, and a relentless focus on execution to drive large cross-functional initiatives, often from scratch
- Proven success in driving efficient, automated, repeatable processes that generate consistent results
- Experience in designing technology via integrations, automated workflows, and self-service capabilities
- Extensive experience working in high growth & ambiguous start-up environments
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to compile and analyze data sets and present recommendations to diverse audiences
- “Stratactical” - Ability to work as a hands-on manager and willingness to "roll up your sleeves" to get things done
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to share complicated details about processes, programs, and company priorities clearly and concisely both written and verbally
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and highly cross-functional environment
