As a Team Leader, you will guide a team of SEO specialists—including Onboarding, Content, and Technical Friends—ensuring the successful execution of client onboarding, content delivery, and technical implementation. You will oversee daily workflows, track performance metrics, ensure adherence to SOPs, and serve as the escalation point for process or client-related challenges. This role blends people leadership, SEO expertise, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily tasks across onboarding, content, and technical workflows to ensure high-quality, on-time delivery.
  • Conduct quality spot checks on team outputs, including CMS configurations, content deployment, and technical fixes.
  • Support team members in troubleshooting CMS-specific issues across WordPress, Shopify, and Webflow.
  • Act as the point of contact for escalations involving complex site behaviors, client nuances, or system bottlenecks.
  • Monitor KPIs including ticket resolution time, content publishing cadence, and technical fix completion.
  • Facilitate weekly team check-ins, provide coaching, and support performance growth.
  • Collaborate with the QA team to improve SOPs and align team performance with customer success.
  • 3–5 years of experience in SEO operations, content publishing, or technical SEO.
  • Proven experience leading teams or managing workflows in an agency or fast-paced environment.
  • Strong grasp of SEO fundamentals (on-page, off-page, technical).
  • Comfort navigating and guiding others in CMS platforms such as WordPress, Shopify, and Webflow.
  • Excellent communication skills, with a knack for coaching and constructive feedback.

Minimum Requirement Qualifications

  • Ability to prioritize, delegate, and resolve cross-functional operational issues and support SOP refinement.

  • Strong knowledge of technical SEO (site architecture, crawling, indexing, Core Web Vitals, structured data).
  • Expertise in on-page optimization (keyword research, content optimization, metadata, internal linking).
  • Proficiency in off-page SEO strategies (link building, digital PR, outreach campaigns).
  • Skilled in SEO analytics & reporting tools (Google Analytics, Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, etc.).
  • Ability to align SEO initiatives with content marketing and business objectives.
  • Up-to-date with the latest Google algorithm changes, SEO trends, and industry best practices.
  • Leadership & Team Management
  • Proven experience in leading and mentoring SEO specialists, fostering skill development and performance growth.
  • Strong strategic planning skills to translate business goals into actionable SEO strategies.
  • Project management abilities to handle multiple campaigns, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Competence in delegating tasks, balancing workloads, and ensuring high-quality deliverables.
  • Ability to make data-driven decisions and handle challenges constructively.
  • Collaboration & Communication

  • Excellent client and stakeholder communication skills – able to explain SEO strategies and performance in non-technical language.
  • Skilled at cross-department collaboration with content, web development, and digital marketing teams.
  • Confident in presenting SEO and performance reports, insights, and recommendations to management and clients.
  • Soft Skills and Attitude
  • Coaching and mentorship mindset, with the ability to nurture team talent.
  • Adaptability to fast-changing SEO landscapes and shifting organizational priorities.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills to identify issues and propose effective solutions.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Marketing, or related field.
  • At least 2 years of hands-on SEO experience and leadership exposure can qualify
  • Above-average communication skills in English
