Responsibilities
- Apply machine learning and computer vision techniques to add new analytical capabilities to our products, as well as enabling modern CV processing within our 3D reconstruction pipeline
- Design, build, train, and experiment with ML models using PyTorch
- Deploy ML models into production and integrate them into a large C++ codebase
- Write and oversee code quality, testing, development standards, and best practices, ensuring robust, clean, and maintainable codebases
- Work collaboratively with the Reveal team to define and execute the technical roadmap for current and future products
- Contribute to technical documentation, design reviews, and code reviews to ensure maintainability and knowledge sharing
- Stay up to date with the latest research and industry trends in CV, ML, and 3D data processing, applying relevant advancements where appropriate
- Debug, identify root causes, and implement and test fixes for problems
- Develop technical materials from conceptual ideas
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience applying machine learning to solve real-world computer vision problems
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Top Secret security clearance
- Deep understanding of computer vision fundamentals, including classical and ML-based approaches
- Experience building, training, and experimenting with models using PyTorch
- Experience deploying ML models to production environments
- Familiarity with the ONNX framework
- Experience with and willingness to work on software implementation and integration of ML solutions into large codebases
- Experience with C++ and Python development in Linux or other command-line-based environments
- Solid understanding of linear algebra
- Ability to quickly understand and navigate complex systems and established codebases
- Familiarity with representations of 3D data, such as point clouds, polygonal meshes, and depth maps, and algorithms for generating and processing them
- Ability to quickly understand and navigate complex systems and established code bases
- A desire to work on critical software that has a real-world impact
Nice To Haves
- Working knowledge of classical 3D Computer Vision concepts such as camera models, stereo vision, camera calibration, SfM, SLAM
- Familiarity with modern 3D CV advancements such as neural rendering techniques (NERFs, Gaussian Splatting), and related approaches for 3D reconstruction and scene representation
- Experience building software solutions involving significant amounts of data processing and analysis
