Job Description
As Director, Studio Vision & Product Strategy at Ubi Québec, you will play a key role in defining, leading, and executing the studio’s transformation strategy toward a strong product culture. This culture will focus on the player, continuous learning, value creation, and cross-disciplinary collaboration. You will liaise closely with the Creative, Production, and Technical teams to align priorities and drive the necessary actions to support the studio’s success. As a positive leader, you’ll embody the studio’s values while empowering teams to evolve their production approaches.
What You’Ll Do:
- Develop a clear vision for product culture, design a transformation roadmap, and bring expert leadership to the studio.
- Contribute to strategic positioning focused on market & player insights, monitor trends, and translate this analysis into actionable plans and communication strategies within the studio.
- Lead change management by embedding a product culture throughout development stages, guiding teams to adopt practices such as player feedback integration, iteration, and value-driven prioritization.
- Deploy product rituals like feature reviews, internal and external playtests, silent reviews, and game reviews.
- Implement tools to monitor value (player feedback, KPIs, etc.) and define product maturity indicators (e.g.: % of features tested, feedback integrated, etc.).
- Collaborate closely with design, UX, data, production, and creative teams to bridge disciplines and foster a cross-functional product approach.
- Partner tightly with franchise, marketing, and publishing teams.
- Build a high-performing team and promote dynamics in which every member feels valued, engaged, and supported in their professional growth.
- Anticipate needs and prioritize product solutions in collaboration with Creative, Production, and Technology leads.
- Actively participate in strategic decision-making as a member of the studio steering committee.
