Job Description

The Communications Manager, North America mission is to drive brand image initiatives across North America to strengthen market presence in line with our growth strategy and support communications strategies within Stäubli’s North American Units.

Reports To:

Managing Director, North America and function reporting to Corporate Communications

Responsibilities And Objectives:

Communications:

Responsible for developing and implementing communication around key topics such as:

• Business strategy
• Innovation
• Transformation and Corporate Culture (internally and externally)
• Analyze, develop and/or support dedicated measures contributing to local brand positioning and communication KPIs

Local Adaptation:

Participate in globally steered campaigns or projects by:

• Adapting communication to target audiences
• Acting as channel owner for local intranet, website, brand store and social media contents
• Building networks with local industry stakeholders and associations

Cooperation:

As an integral part of the Corporate Communications network:

• Maintain close contact with Corp Comms team at Stäubli Headquarters in Switzerland
• Act as business partner to local management by supporting leadership with preparation of presentations and newsletters and answer all media inquiries. Regularly align activities with the local marketing team(s) to ensure consistency in brand messaging.
• Shape Stäubli’s future by championing Company growth and transformation efforts while using storytelling to maintain a positive reputation among key stakeholders in North America

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, business or a related field + 5 or more years in a corporate communications role (manufacturing or PR agency experience preferred)
• Bilingual (English & Spanish) is preferred, English required
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including storytelling and copywriting.
• Demonstrated creativity and attention to detail in digital content creation and able to determine optimal channels for audience engagement while capable of managing diverse projects independently.

Physical Requirements:

• Periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Must be able to lift, push, pull, and carry objects
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times
• Dexterity and accuracy as needed to operate equipment

Work Schedule:

• Willingness to travel as required both domestically and internationally (up to 35%)
• Initial Onboarding will take place in Switzerland – must be able to travel internationally upon hire
• This position will report to the Duncan, SC office with flexible (hybrid) schedule after completion of 90 day training program

Salary Range:

$78,000 - $88,000 Usd
