Position Overview:
Boeing Supplier Quality team is currently looking for an Associate Supplier Quality Specialist to join their team in Bangalore, India. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense and Space (BDS) business organization.
This is a field representative position responsible for supporting suppliers in Bangalore as Supplier Quality Representative. However, additional travel may be required to support suppliers throughout India, Middle East and the Asia Pacific Region. The position will require a highly self-motivated individual, capable of being self-directed with minimal supervision.
Position Responsibilities:
- Support duties and responsibilities assigned by management related to supplier quality profile.
- Major responsibility is inspection and assessment of products produced at the supply base.
- Assist with audits and assessments of supplier’s systems, processes and products, documenting the audit and assessment results and RCCA.
- Monitor, Analyze and report supplier quality related activities and performance status for the supply base.
- Position requires the implementation of supplier management processes including assessment of supplier capability, capacity and management of supplier performance in the technical areas of quality, schedule, performance and work statement compliance.
- Maintain quality, stability and flow for multiple programs in a fast paced and challenging environment from the supplier quality side and work cross-functionally with many different job disciplines at suppliers/customers.
Candidate must meet the requirements of Boeing Visual Standards for Product Acceptance, tested annually.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor's degree or higher is required as BASIC Qualification with 5 - 8 years of relevant experience .
- Detailed knowledge and experience in QMS/APQP and Core Tools/ GD&T/manufacturing/inspection in aerospace component/assembly, machining, composite, special processes, structural assembly, wire harness etc. are essential.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, program management and quality management skills are essential to communicate with all stakeholders including factory customers, supplier management, Engineering and all levels of supplier personnel.
- Success will require the ability to establish good personal relationships and outstanding team building skills in a multi-cultural and diverse environment.
- Excellent English language skills are essential.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering is preferred.
- Work experience in handling model-based engineering requirements, CAD/CAM/CAI datasets and tools in an aerospace manufacturing environment desired.

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+ 4 years' related work experience.
