Life Cycle Engineering (LCE) is responsible for ensuring our products are Safe, Reliable, Maintainable, and delivered on time. It consists of multiple disciplines that support engineering, our program offices, and our customers throughout the total life cycle of our products—from conception to deactivation. Our primary focus is on product support, including the following disciplines: Reliability, System Safety, and Supportability.

As part of this mission, Raytheon currently has an exciting opportunity for a Principal Reliability Engineer to help support our goal of making the world a safer place.

This is a full-time, onsite position based in Tucson, AZ; Huntsville, AL; or Louisville, KY.

What You Will Do

  • Lead performance of reliability predictions.
  • Support Design Reviews.

  • Lead failure analysis and root cause and corrective action studies to assure Customer Satisfaction.
  • Complete FRACAS and FMECA related investigations and analysis.
  • Work across multiple engineering teams to help implement design changes for products being produced.
  • Lead fellow team members on program(s) to conduct test data analysis and trending.
  • Provide technical direction on system assembly and disassembly when onsite technical personnel cannot resolve problems.
  • Work with team members to provide data-driven recommendations and solutions to the customer covering a wide range of technical subjects.
  • Approximately 15% Domestic and International travel may be required. 

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Experience with Testing and/or Testability.
  • Experience with reliability analysis or failure analysis.
  • Experience with FRACAS, FRB and/or RCCA.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Ability to manage multiple technical projects and customer requests in a fast-paced operations environment.
  • Experience with RAM (Reliability, Availability, Maintainability), Testability, FMECA, Predictions.
  • Exposure to performing Derating Analysis.
  • Experience developing and providing technical presentations to audiences including the U.S. and international customers.
  • Experience with Defense manufacturing OR work on Autonomous programs/systems.
  • Experience with system assembly, disassembly and test.

The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
