What You Will Do

• Responsible for the structural assessments of repairs to hot and cold section commercial engine rotating components.
• Participate in multi-disciplinary teams to provide design solutions that meet design and life requirements.
• Work independently on structural analysis solutions when historical solutions are not available or applicable. Analysis may include both classical methods and detailed Finite Element Analysis (FEA) for strength, stress, vibration, fatigue life, and damage tolerance. 
• ASE Structures provides a work environment that fosters increased development fundamentals with knowledge development of fracture mechanics and finite element analysis (ANSYS) modeling, as well as good engineering judgment, with an eye on “common sense”. 
• Coordinate with others to advance the technology and improve engineering standard work processes/methods, plus document and present results.
• Knowledge of Integrated Product Development (IPD), Structures Engineering Knowledge System (EKS), and the Product Design Review process.

What You Will Learn

• This position is a part of our Engineering Development Program (EDP). EDP participants will complete three to four rotations to build technical breadth and leadership abilities before graduating from the program.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Master's degree, or Bachelor's degree with 2 years' experience, in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or a related field
• Minimum Cumulative GPA of 3.0

Qualifications We Prefer

• Experience in structural analysis or mechanical design. 
• Experience with ANSYS or other FEA software.
• Experience with manufacturing repair processes experience a plus.
• Experience using P&W fatigue and fracture mechanics lifing systems.
• Experience with fatigue and fracture analysis is preferred. 
• Primary practitioner for structural analysis memos (SAMs).

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 66,000 USD - 130,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
