This is an opportunity to join the Surveillance & Tactical Advanced Radar Solutions (STaRS) business with Advanced Product Solutions (APS) as a FP&A Manager. STaRS is a $500M+ portfolio consisting of 5 unique product lines: Terrain Following Radars (TFR), Harpoon, Mulit-Mode Surveillance Radars (MSR), Advanced Early Warning Systems (AEWS) and Operational Systems Sustainment (OSS) that contain Production, Development and Sustainment programs.
This is a unique and challenging FP&A Manager onsite role with visibility at both the RFS and APS levels supporting a portfolio that includes external programs with a wide range of Domestic & International Government customers. This position requires a self-starter with demonstrated leadership and critical thinking skills with an eye for innovation and process improvement and the ability to encourage accuracy and efficiency into all FP&A activities and deliverables.
Key characteristics include: proactive guidance, sense of urgency, ability to ensure tasks are completed successfully , creative problem solving, and excellent team collaboration.
What You Will Do
- Establish and implement a monthly and weekly cadence across STARS for inputs, reviews and on-time delivery to RFS FP&A.
- Accurate and timely analysis of financial performance (bookings, sales, profit, and cash) and early identification and communication of issues impacting financial performance.
- Own all financial reports, presentations and FP&A deliverables with a focus on data integrity, completeness, analysis and timeliness.
- Establish and enforce the schedule for long range planning (LRP) activities to meet the RFS FP&A deadlines; own all STARS LRP deliverables.
- Element of Cost analysis.
- Lead the STARS SRO process with a focus on achieving consistency , timeliness and accuracy.
- Actively participate in weekly/monthly forecast, business and cash call reviews with RFS FP&A.
- Understand all elements of the balance sheet; Identify issues and drive resolution.
- Monitor and analyze STARS Investments: Capital projects, Overhead spending, IRAD projects and NBI spending.
- Monitor spending/liquidation of Inventory ARs and CFRs.
- Provide variance analysis and month/year-end close reporting and monitoring and program financial forecasting.
- Establish efficiencies through process improvement and establish FP&A best practices across STARS
- Manage 1 direct report; responsible for their performance and provide guidance regarding career development plan.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires: A Bachelor’s degree. Finance, Business Administration, Accounting or related field preferred or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience.
- Experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) concepts, related systems, and processes.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirements.

- Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Budgeting and variance analysis skills.
