Summary:

The Market Leader is a transformative leader responsible for driving strategic growth, operational excellence, and cultural alignment across a defined territory. This role serves as the face of market – strengthening brand visibility, deepening community and client engagement, and shaping a high-performance culture rooted in shared values. The Senior Managing Principal partners closely with the Regional President and other senior leaders to accelerate organic growth, optimize financial performance, and build scalable, client-centric solutions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

Culture & Leadership

  • Champion and model a culture of excellence, growth, and shared values across teams and markets.
  • Serve as a visible and influential leader within the local market, enhancing brand presence and fostering meaningful relationships with clients, partners, and community stakeholders.
  • Actively coach and develop mid-to-senior leaders, cultivating a pipeline of high-performing, values-driven talent.
  • Promote an inclusive, engaged, and purpose-driven workplace aligned with OneDigital’s mission and culture.

Organic Growth & Sales Leadership

  • Drive net new revenue through organic channels, including new logo acquisition, cross-selling, and client retention strategies.
  • Collaborate with sales and client service leaders to identify market opportunities and execute growth initiatives.
  • Ensure alignment of sales efforts with strategic priorities and performance targets.

Financial Accountability

  • Own and exceed financial targets, including EBITDA and net block growth, with clear alignment to forecasts and strategic plans.
  • Monitor and manage market P&L performance, ensuring profitability and sustainable growth.
  • Partner with finance and operations teams to ensure accurate forecasting and financial discipline.

Operational Excellence

  • Streamline internal operations to enhance efficiency, scalability, and margin improvement.
  • Align resources and processes to deliver high-impact, client-focused solutions.
  • Leverage national and regional capabilities to drive innovation and operational effectiveness.

Talent Acquisition & Development

  • Recruit, retain, and develop top-tier talent across the market, both organically and through M&A.
  • Build and sustain high-performing teams that reflect OneDigital’s values and strategic goals.
  • Lead integration efforts for acquired entities, ensuring cultural alignment and performance acceleration.

Qualifications, Skills And Requirements:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, combined with professionalism and discretion
  • Proven experience leading a workforce that attracts, develops and retains “A” player talent
  • Must have an in-depth knowledge of the insurance business
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple P/L’s
  • Proven ability to successfully lead, develop and grow mid to senior level leaders
  • Ability to prioritize business activities that contribute to top-line and bottom-line growth
  • Ability to clearly articulate the company’s value proposition to potential prospects
  • Builds collaborative relationships and exhibits influence skills
  • Ability to travel within assigned region and to corporate office several times a year

Education, Training And Experience:

  • 15+ years’ of successful agency management or senior level leadership experience; required; insurance industry preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree, required; Advanced Degree, preferred
  • Current Life and Health license, required

Your base pay is dependent upon your skills, education, qualifications, professional experience, and location. In addition to base pay, some roles are eligible for variable compensation, commission, and/or annual bonus based on your individual performance and/or the company’s performance.
