GE Healthcare in Denmark is looking for a skilled Senior Hardware Engineer to join our team with a physical presence required at our headquarters in Herlev, Denmark.

As our new Senior Hardware Engineer, you will act as a subject matter expert in electronics, applying your deep technical knowledge to support and sustain high-performance hardware for our ultrasound systems—with a focus on both analog and digital electronics.

Job Description

Roles And Responsibilities

  • Support and sustain hardware for ultrasound systems across all electronic engineering disciplines.
  • Participate in redesigns, end-of-life component replacements, and design-for-manufacturing activities.
  • Collaborate with component suppliers and external PCB design partners and provide support for NPI and production ramp-up.
  • Evaluate and modify electronic components and integrated circuits for high-performance hardware systems.
  • Contribute to technical and cost improvements of existing products and components
  • Demonstrate knowledge of or interest in systems powered by lithium-ion batteries.
  • Act as a technical resource for less experienced colleagues and potentially lead small sustaining projects.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electronic engineering.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in analog and/or digital electronics design.
  • Experience in sustaining or developing medical diagnostic equipment or other high-reliability, safety-critical products is preferred.
  • Experience using OrCAD for schematic design; knowledge of DX Designer is a plus.
  • Solid theoretical foundation and hands-on experience with analog and digital measurement setups using high-speed oscilloscopes and signal analyzers.
  • Systematic and analytical approach to engineering tasks, including troubleshooting.
  • Self-driven, motivated, and a collaborative team player who enjoys sharing knowledge.
  • Excellent communication skills in English (Danish is a plus).
