Job Title
Senior Program ManagerA Technical Program Manager (TPM) oversees the development and execution of complex technical projects, managing cross-functional teams, and ensuring projects align with organizational goals, are delivered on time and within budget. Key responsibilities include risk management, strategic planning, facilitating communication, and providing technical guidance throughout the project lifecycle, from conception to deployment and evaluation. TPMs require strong technical acumen, project management skills, excellent communication, and leadership abilities. Key Responsibilities- Project Lifecycle Management:.Manage all phases of a project, from initiating programs and defining requirements to deployment and post-launch evaluation.
- Cross-Functional Leadership:.Lead and coordinate diverse teams, including engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders, to ensure smooth progress.
- Technical Guidance:.Collaborate with architects and engineers to establish product and technology architecture, and provide technical solutions for issues that arise.
- Risk and Issue Management:.Identify, analyze, and mitigate program risks and solve complex technical problems to keep projects on track.
- Communication & Reporting:.Facilitate communication between all stakeholders, report on project progress, manage expectations, and resolve conflicts.
- Strategic Planning:.Contribute to strategic planning, establish project timelines and scope, and ensure technical and business objectives are met.
- Technical Background:.Strong understanding of information technology and the ability to contribute to technical decisions.
- Project Management Skills:.Expertise in project management principles, including planning, risk management, and resource allocation.
- Communication:.Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively liaise with technical and non-technical audiences.
- Leadership & Influence:.The ability to lead teams, build consensus, and influence stakeholders to drive program success.
- Problem-Solving & Analysis:.Strong analytical skills to break down complex systems and solve problems effectively.
- Organization:.High levels of organization and attention to detail to manage multiple projects and deliverables.
- Education:.A Bachelor's degree in a technology-related field (like computer science or IT) is typically required, with some roles possibly requiring a master's degree.
