Job Title: Demand Planner

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Demand Planner to join our manufacturing and production team. As a Demand Planner, you will be responsible for forecasting future sales, reviewing inventory and stock levels, scheduling production activities, analyzing data to identify trends and patterns, and proposing and implementing improvements to our supply chain. Your expertise in demand planning will be essential in ensuring efficient operations and meeting customer demands.

Responsibilities:

• Develop accurate demand forecasts by analyzing historical sales data, market trends, customer behavior patterns, promotional activities, etc.
• Collaborate with sales teams to gather relevant information regarding new product launches or changes in market dynamics that may impact demand.
• Review inventory levels regularly and adjust production schedules accordingly to ensure optimal stock levels are maintained.
• Analyze forecast accuracy metrics on an ongoing basis; identify areas of improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Collaborate closely with procurement teams for timely sourcing of raw materials based on forecasted requirements.
• Monitor industry trends related to supply chain management; propose innovative strategies or process improvements that can enhance overall efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related field (preferred)
• 2+ years of experience as a Demand Planner or similar role within the manufacturing industry
• Proficiency in using demand planning software such as SAP APO/Demand Works/Oracle Demantra is preferred
• Advanced knowledge of MS Excel for data analysis purposes
