NATURE OF POSITION:

The Business Analyst is responsible for identifying business needs, analyzing data, and proposing solutions to improve operational efficiency and drive strategic decision-making. In this role, the Business Analyst will be expected to work cross functionally with leaders from finance and other departments and serve as “business partner” to the Chief Operating Officer, Regional Operations Leadership and General Managers.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Analyze Business Needs: Gather and analyze data to understand business requirements and identify areas for improvement. Maintain and develop corporate reporting and metrics for board presentations, and operational metrics using web-based reporting tools.
• Develop Solutions: Propose and implement solutions to enhance business processes, utilizing data analysis and strategic planning. Create and maintain critical dashboards that are actionable for senior operations management.
• Facilitate Communication: Act as a liaison between stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring clear communication of business requirements and project objectives. Develop and prepare executive-grade presentations and reports for leadership team and board meetings.
• Document Requirements: Create detailed documentation of business requirements, workflows, and outcomes to guide project development.
• Conduct Research: Perform market research and analyze financial reports to inform strategic planning and operational improvements.
• Support Decision-Making: Use data analytics to provide insights and recommendations to executives and stakeholders for informed decision-making.
• Complete special projects as assigned

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, information technology, or a related field; strong analytical and communication skills.
• 5-7 years of related business financial experience with a proven track record of financial modeling and analysis.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and experience working with big data and complex financial models.
• Strong communication and presentation skills with ability to present complex financial analyses to executive leaders clearly and concisely
• Ability to translate large amounts of data into useful information and actionable priorities
• Proficient with reporting, visualization, intelligence, and analysis tools (SQL, Power BI, Tableau, etc.
• Proven ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workload
• Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and other MS Office applications
• Strong presentation skills with the ability to regularly interface with executive management.
• Self-starter with a proactive approach to problem-solving and learning.

PERFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Master’s degree in business administration or finance
• Experience in service or project industry is a plus
• Experience in fire protection or related business services operation

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
• This is a remote position that will travel as required to company offices.

TRAVEL:
• 25% travel required.
