IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital is seeking a strategic leader to support Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and Pediatric and Women's Services as the Assistant Manager-Clinical Operations! This role will partner with the unit leadership team to support a 21-bed, Level III NICU, in addition to a 9-bed Pediatric and Women’s Services unit. 

Schedule:

Full Time, Monday-Friday; day shift as primary schedule with a minimum of 20% of schedule on Nights and 10% on Weekends.

Position Overview:

The Assistant Nurse Manager serves as an influential and strategic leader within the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and Pediatric and Women's Services team and leadership team. This position is responsible for the long-term vision of the department and execution of patient care initiatives. This leader will work collaboratively with the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and Pediatric and Women's Services Leadership team to optimize patient experience, results, efficiencies, and values. This role will partner with the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and Pediatric and Women's Services Leadership team to develop action plans in quality and safety improvement and great patient and team member experiences. This leader leads the execution of the action plans and analyzes their effectiveness. This leader strives to promote excellent clinical outcomes and organizational outcomes. The role is a member of the leadership team of a unit that is operational and staffed 24 x 7, weekends and holidays

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of accredited school of nursing. 
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree required. 
  • Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.   
  • Required Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.   
  • Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.  
  • NICU experience is preferred.
