Meet the App Development team
Whilst LEAP's core platform is developed and maintained at our head office by LEAP Dev, each global region has a localised product and development team. This team work cross functionally on every part of a product life cycle to build Australia specific web applications. Working alongside experienced legal professionals, developers, and client-focused operational experts, this is a team of self driven, solutions based problem solvers who thrive in an environment with a start-up feel. Priorities can shift and this team stay nimble, focused and dedicated to making a positive impact the every day lives of our customers.
What You'Ll Do
You’ll join as the first UX/UI Designer in a team of six full-stack Software Engineers. Together, you’ll collaborate with our Subject Matter Experts (lawyers) to design and deliver innovative products that transform how lawyers work. Partnering with our specialist law teams, you’ll help bring their product roadmaps to life, shaping solutions from concept to delivery. These cross-functional relationships across LEAP will give you the opportunity to ask the right questions, challenge assumptions, and apply your design expertise to create intuitive, engaging, and effective user experiences.
To make this happen, you will
- Develop wireframes, designs and interactive prototypes using Figma, Miro and Whimsical, to communicate design concepts and user flows effectively.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Managers, Developers, and other stakeholders, to gather requirements and feedback, and iterate on designs accordingly.
- Conduct user research to better understand user needs, pain points and goals. Document design decisions, interactions, and user flows to ensure clear communication with the development team and seamless handoff for implementation.
- Keep up to date with design trends, best practices, and emerging technologies. Contribute to our library of design systems and ensure it adheres to brand guidelines and best practices.
What You'Ll Bring
You’ll have 3+ years’ experience in UX/UI design and a passion for building beautiful software! You will also have experience with:
- End-to-end product design: You have designed and delivered products across a range of platforms, and can apply the full UX cycle, from ideation and brainstorming, to wireframing and design, prototyping and user testing.
- Collaboration and stakeholder management: You can take input from various teams including engineers, product managers, leadership, and other designers, to understand business goals and meet project requirements.
- Data-backed approach: You use data to inform user needs and measure success, and have experience conducting user research and usability testing to make design decisions.
- Visual design: You can create a strong visual design language that adheres to brand guidelines and industry best practices.
LEAP is an inclusive, people-first company committed to breaking down institutional barriers that keep people from reaching their potential. If you meet some, but not all of the requirements above, we encourage you to still submit your application.
