Civil Engineer/Project Management - Land Development - Calgary

POSITION - CIVIL ENGINEER/PROJECT MANAGEMENT - LAND DEVELOPMENT

Role Description:

Our Calgary office is looking to add a Land Development Civil Engineer/Project Manager.   

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the planning, design, and management of civil engineering projects for community developments in the Province of Alberta. In this role, you will be responsible for the concept and detailed design for land development sites and subdivisions, including technical reports and memoranda relating to utility infrastructure and other municipal engineering requirements, working collaboratively with other design disciplines to provide integrated and context-sensitive solutions.

Role Accountabilities:

• Work directly with our team of engineers and technologists towards the completion of civil single-site and municipal-type construction projects
• Interface with Clients, demonstrate the firm’s capabilities, determine clients’ needs, and prepare proposals based on project scope and estimated fees
• Preparation of construction documents, calculations, and reports for Arcadis's public or private clients 
• Lead the design effort of subdivision master plans, site plans, roads, sidewalks, stormwater, grading plans, utility plans for new developments and redevelopments
• Lead the preparation of development cost estimates and contract award
• Working with municipalities on permit applications and approvals, specifically in Calgary and the surrounding area (i.e., DP/DL, DSSP, CD, and Subdivision Approvals)
• Management of projects, contract administration, construction management, and design engineering
• Perform construction administration and general construction supervision duties related to internal and external Team members and stakeholders 

Qualifications & Experience:

• Licensed (P.Eng., P.Tech, P.L.Eng.) Civil Engineer 
• Licensed and registered with APEGA (P.Eng., P.Tech, P.L.Eng.)
• 5 – 8 years of experience in engineering, including project design, management, construction supervision, and project management.
• Proficient software skills with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MS Teams, Excel, etc 
• Self-motivated with good leadership, project management, and client management experience, with excellent written and verbal communication skills

The salary range for this position is $90,000 - $115,000. The base salary represents Arcadis’ hiring range for this position.
