General Description

The Quality Specialist ensures that all engineering project activities comply with contractual requirements, industry standards, and regulatory guidelines. This role involves monitoring construction/engineering processes, conducting inspections, ensuring proper documentation, and supporting project teams to deliver high-quality outcomes safely, on time, and within scope.

Qualifications & Experience (Required)

• Master’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field).
• Professional certification in quality management (ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, Six Sigma, or CQE) is an advantage.
• Proven experience in quality assurance/quality control within engineering, construction, or infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of international standards, building codes, and safety regulations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills with multidisciplinary teams.
• Proficiency in MS Office and project management/quality management software.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Develop and implement quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) plans for engineering projects.
• Monitor engineering, procurement, and construction activities to ensure adherence to specifications, standards (e.g., ISO, ASME, ASTM), and client requirements.
• Conduct inspections, audits, and site visits to verify compliance with design drawings, codes, and safety regulations.
• Review engineering documents, materials, and technical submittals for compliance with project specifications.
• Identify non-conformities, issue reports, and coordinate corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Support project teams in applying risk management practices to minimize quality and safety issues.
• Maintain project quality records, test results, and audit reports for compliance and future reference.
• Liaise with contractors, consultants, and stakeholders to resolve quality-related concerns.
• Provide training and guidance to project staff on quality standards and procedures.
• Continuously monitor and recommend improvements in engineering project processes and methodologies.
