Test Hardware Development Engineer | Optoelectronics

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain test systems for opto-electronic components.
• Represent the Product Development Test Team in:
• Participate in performance requirement reviews and contribute to drafting product specifications.
• Provide and maintain documentation for all hardware setups.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams (Chip Design, Wafer Fabrication Process Engineering, Operations, Quality & Reliability, Project Management).
• Facilitate and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team on relevant technical topics.
• The design and planning of new test setups, including hardware/instrumentation requirements, characterization, and verification activities.
• The ongoing planning of project-specific activities throughout the component development phase.

Education & Experience:

• MSc or PhD in optoelectronics, electronics, or engineering physics, with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Proven experience in testing and setting up test systems for opto/electronic devices (RF and DC).
• Fluent in English (spoken and written).

Skills & Other Requirements:

• Applied mathematics/physics.
• Lab environment experience and instrumentation (SMU, VNA, OSA).
• Optoelectronic/electronic device characterization.
• Statistical analysis.

Working Conditions:

• Full-time position.
• On-Site at our Järfälla facility

• Managers ensure all risk assessments, training, and compliance are in place.
