This is a remote position.
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Sydney, AU time) with a 1-hour unpaid breakTotal Weekly Hours: 40 hours
Our client is seeking a Fashion Production Coordinator to manage and coordinate product development and manufacturing across all categories. In this role, you will ensure that all products meet quality standards, price targets, and delivery deadlines while maintaining consistency throughout the collection. You will be a key player in ensuring products reach retail stores and wholesale accounts on time and to exact specifications.
Responsibilities
- Partner with design, buying, garment tech, and logistics teams to ensure product quality, pricing, and timely delivery
- Oversee product development: sample management, lab dip approvals, fabric testing, fit comments, grading, care labels, barcodes, trims, and factory planning
- Source new factories, manage audits, and onboard new suppliers
- Track and manage repair returns with online and wholesale partners
- Negotiate prices, delivery dates, and minimum order quantities to protect profit margins
- Raise purchase orders, confirm deliveries with vendors, and keep production calendars up to date
- Manage supplier and artwork manuals, and coordinate production from a surface design perspective
- Review inventory against purchase orders and occasionally scan bulk deliveries
- Oversee production trackers, pattern makers’ priorities, and factory communications
- Prepare care labels, barcodes, and wholesale handovers; manage dispatch of goods to international partners and generate packing lists
- Handle invoices from development through production
- Compare bulk logistics quotes and schedule pickups
- Collaborate with the General Manager and Creative Director to ensure the design vision is executed
- Support and implement sustainability initiatives
Requirements
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Adobe Suite a plus)
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Deep understanding of garment construction, surface design, and production processes
- Ability to independently streamline workflows and meet deadlines under pressure
- Passion for sustainability and ability to balance creative and technical considerations
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work well with cross-functional teams
