This is a remote position.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (New South Wales, Australia time)

Total Weekly Hours: 40 hours

Our client is a dynamic interior design firm specializing in cabinetry and interior spaces, and they are seeking a skilled Interior Design Drafter – SketchUp & LayOut to join their team. If you have experience in interior drafting and cabinetry design, they’d love to hear from you!

Responsibilities

Convert supplied .dwg or PDF floor plans into SketchUp 2024, setting up files for the design process (walls, windows, doors, ceilings, etc.)
Produce simple tile layouts in SketchUp and update designs with client-selected tiles after appointments
Create basic interior designs using the SketchUp component library, preparing them for final detailing
Convert finalized SketchUp designs into LayOut using company templates, including:
Assist in adding cabinetry designs and finer details based on the firm’s specialized approach
3d Perspective Views
2D elevations with dimensions and notes

Requirements

Proficiency in SketchUp 2024 & LayOut (mandatory)
Prior experience drafting for interior design projects
Cabinetry design experience (a plus)
Ability to interpret architectural floor plans and translate them into SketchUp models
Detail-oriented, with the ability to meet quick turnaround times for tile layouts and design setups
Willingness to learn and adapt to company design standards and processes
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a remote setting
Portfolio and short cover letter outlining experience with interior drafting and cabinetry design
