Key Responsibilities:
1. Staff Supervision:
- Lead and motivate the team during shifts, ensuring that all employees perform their roles effectively.
- Assign tasks to team members and ensure they are completed efficiently and to company standards.
- Provide guidance, coaching, and feedback to team members to enhance their performance.
- Assist with staff training, ensuring new employees are properly oriented and existing employees follow operational procedures.
2. Customer Service:
- Ensure that customers receive fast, friendly, and accurate service at all times.
- Handle customer complaints and concerns in a professional manner, striving to resolve issues quickly to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Monitor the dining area to ensure cleanliness and that customers’ needs are being met.
- Assist with taking orders, preparing food, and fulfilling customer requests when necessary.
3. Operational Efficiency:
- Ensure that food preparation, food safety, and cleanliness standards are maintained throughout the shift.
- Manage food quality and portion control to ensure that Del Taco’s standards are upheld.
- Assist in managing the kitchen and front-line operations to ensure smooth and timely service during peak hours.
- Ensure all work areas are clean, organized, and well-stocked.
- Help with inventory management, including restocking supplies and ingredients when needed.
4. Leadership & Teamwork:
- Lead by example, maintaining a positive attitude and demonstrating Del Taco’s core values.
- Foster teamwork and open communication among staff members.
- Provide support to team members when they encounter challenges and ensure that they stay focused and motivated during their shift.
- Maintain a professional and respectful work environment that encourages employee development.
5. Health & Safety Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and sanitation guidelines during the shift.
- Conduct safety checks to ensure that food safety standards are followed, including proper handling, storage, and sanitation of food and equipment.
- Monitor and enforce restaurant cleanliness, ensuring that all areas, including the kitchen and dining room, meet hygiene standards.
6. Cash Handling & Administrative Duties:
- Assist with cash handling procedures, including overseeing register transactions and ensuring proper cash management during shifts.
- Support opening and closing procedures, including balancing cash drawers, completing end-of-shift paperwork, and securing the restaurant.
- Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and report any issues to management.
Qualifications:
- Experience:
- 1-2 years of experience in a fast-food or quick-service restaurant environment, preferably in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Prior experience with managing a team or taking on leadership responsibilities is preferred.
- Skills:
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong customer service skills and ability to handle challenging situations professionally.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and procedures.
- Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required; a degree in hospitality or business is a plus.
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in a high-energy, fast-paced environment for extended periods.
