Financial Reporting Accountant

Assist the European accounting department with US GAAP management and statutory reporting for a portfolio of Corporate legal entities in Europe.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• Responsible for the financial reporting of allocated entities ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of financial data, working closely with finance business partners such as Tax, Treasury and Legal
• This covers interest calculations, IC loan tracking, accrual and prepaid management, PP&E tracking and reporting, mark to market of non-functional currency positions as well as generating tax provision and balance sheet tax entries. 
• Monthly balance sheet & P/L account analyses to be completed to support the final TBs that will require sign off by Financial Reporting Manager, before loading data to Hyperion.
• Managing quarterly balance sheet reviews with local financial reporting manager and Controller. 
• Monthly completion of PORs (Presidents Operating Reports) actuals and quarterly forecasts for allocated entities. 
• Monthly debits note issuance, IC AR/AP account management. 
• Various quarterly and Annual Tax, Audit and Legal Fee Analysis and Reporting
• To always be aware of the internal controls and authority levels in place to safeguard Emerson’s assets, including Emerson’s Wire Transfer Program and disbursements requirements.
• In addition to the above, participation in accounting projects may be required.

For This Role, You Will Need:

• Educated to degree level or equivalent. ACCA study supported by Company.  
• 3-4 years in Accounting/Finance with exposure to working within and maintaining an effective internal control environment. 
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel. 
• Demonstrates interest in working with multiple applications, identifying & adapting to other technology tools.
• Strong English language skills required.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

• Diligent and self-directed, capable of successfully handling their workload.
• Sage and Hyperion experience an advantage, but not required.
