Summary Of Functions:
The Business Development Executive is a key growth role for CCEE, responsible for building strategic partnerships, expanding open/custom/online program portfolios, and achieving revenue and enrollment targets. The role requires strong operational execution and market development, close coordination with internal AU units, and active engagement with industry partners and accreditation bodies to ensure offerings are relevant, compliant, and financially sustainable.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Recommend and execute CCEE’s business development strategy: target sectors, product mix (open, custom, online), pricing/fees, promotional channels, and partnership roadmaps.
- Own the full sales cycle—prospecting, qualification, solution scoping, proposals, pricing, negotiation, contracting, and account management; maintain and grow key accounts.
- Build and manage a robust pipeline in CRM; forecast revenue, track conversion metrics, and report performance to targets.
- Develop and manage partnerships with corporations, government entities, professional associations, and material manufacturers/distributorsfor sponsorships, in-kind support, and co-branded education.
- Coordinate accreditation with local and international bodies (e.g., CMEs approvals): submissions, evidence, compliance tracking, renewals.
- Collaborate with Academic Leads/Program Chairs to shape market-driven curricula, delivery formats, schedules and quality standards.
- Plan and execute go-to-market with Marketing/Strategic Communications: messaging, digital campaigns, events, webinars, lead-nurture flows.
- Operations leadership: run end-to-end delivery for courses (room/LMS setup, faculty & speaker onboarding, learner support, logistics, vendors, materials, evaluations, certificates) with SLAs and SOPs.
- Hiring & team building: lead or support recruitment across sales, operations, marketing, and the selection/contracting of course & program supervisors and speakers; coordinate onboarding and performance follow-up.
- Drive development and scaling of online courses (LMS, virtual classrooms, webinar platforms); monitor learner experience, completion analytics, and improvements.
- Prepare business cases, budgets, and profitability analyses; monitor margins and implement improvement plans.
- Organize high-visibility promotional activities (info sessions, webinars, roundtables) to strengthen CCEE’s brand and pipeline.
- Maintain program currency: monitor market/competitor trends and recommend portfolio refreshes each term.
- Produce monthly/quarterly pipeline & revenue reports and an annual business development report.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Executive Director, CCEE.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s of surgery in Medicine or Dentistry (MBBS or BDS)
- Assessor Qualification is a plus
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Continuing/Executive Education in the UAE in the fields of Medicine, Health, Dentistry and Beauty with proven program growth and partner acquisition.
- Minimum 3 years of strong operational experience leading end-to-end delivery of training/CE programs (onsite and online), including logistics, vendor management, scheduling, and learner support.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in sales/sales management with measurable results in revenue and enrollments.
- Demonstrated experience in online courses (LMS administration, virtual classrooms, webinar tools) and continuing education compliance.
- Solid experience in marketing (digital campaigns, events, content, lead generation) and funnel optimization.
- Very good experience hiring across sales, operations, marketing, and in contracting/overseeing course & program supervisors and external speakers.
- Strong connections with material mother companies in the region for sponsorships and partnerships.
- Proven experience liaising with local and international accreditation bodies (applications, documentation, renewals).
- Advanced bi-lingual communication (English required; Arabic an advantage).
Knowledge & Skills
- Ability to engage effectively with academic and corporate stakeholders; excellent interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Strategic + operational planning aligned to AU goals with a revenue-generation mindset and clear KPI ownership.
- Strong financial acumen: pricing, budgeting, margin analysis, contract terms.
- High emotional intelligence, professional presence, and collaborative work style.
- Data-driven approach to pipeline management, campaign performance, learner outcomes, and operational KPIs (SLA adherence, on-time course delivery, satisfaction scores).
Working Conditions
Work is normally performed in a typical office environment. The position may require work after hours, on weekends/holidays, and in emergencies (“on-call”). Travel within the UAE and occasionally abroad may be required for partner development, events, and accreditation engagements.
