What’S The Role?

We’re looking for a detail-oriented and collaborative Associate / Senior Associate to join our Credit & Capital team within Westpac Institutional Bank. You’ll help simplify credit policies, support regulatory compliance, and improve how we manage credit risk across the business.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with data, systems, and stakeholders to make processes smarter and more efficient. You’ll be a key part of a team that’s driving change and helping the business meet its credit and capital obligations.

• This is a permanent fulltime role based in Sydney. 
• What do I need?
• To thrive in this role, you’ll need:
• A solid understanding of credit risk in institutional or commercial banking
• Familiarity with regulatory standards like APS 220, 221, 112, and 113
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work across teams
• Confidence working with systems and data to support decision-making
• Experience simplifying processes and creating clear documentation
• A collaborative mindset and a passion for continuous improvement
