We have an exciting opportunity for someone who is energetic and enthusiastic to join the UNITE Data Engineering team as a Program Manager to create and run a Project Management Office function. If you are passionate about building a governance framework, establishing and running ways of working for complex teams; bringing strong skills of project planning, resource management, financial management and risk management, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.


The Data Engineering team will lead the data transformation for the Group’s UNITE program. What’s the role?

As a PMO Program you will be responsible for establishing & running the Data Engineering centralised PMO function. Creating a central capability for our engineering squads who will deliver initiatives under the UNITE program. You will work with a team of Engineering leaders and Program Managers to working across multiple UNITE programs of work who will provide input and support this centralised function. 

What do I need?

 

  • Banking & Technology experience is essential, with exposure to full project lifecycle from business case development to execution and implementation.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with proven ability to manage senior relationships and collaborate across teams.
  • Delivery accountability, including RAID management, compliance standards, and risk mitigation across multiple responsibilities.
  • Agile mindset and experience, with the ability to support agile maturity uplift within technology teams (Agile certifications desirable).
  • Highly organised, strategic thinker, motivated by outcomes, adaptable to change, and experienced in vendor and supplier management.
  • PMO experience, including governance, reporting, and alignment with enterprise delivery frameworks and standards.
