About The Role

We are looking for someone who can act as a technical lead for our Platform team in Data Centres. This role is to drive and coordinate the team’s priorities and be the link between the team (currently 4-5 colleagues) and your manager. The person we are looking for should have a broad technical skillset, whilst also find the act of guiding other SMEs to be interesting and fulfilling

Your Responsibilities:

• Work with colleagues in Copenhagen and Istanbul on operational work.
• Act as technical lead for the Platform team in Data Centres.
• Drive and coordinate team priorities and act as link between the team (4–5 colleagues) and manager.
• Provide guidance to other SMEs.
• Day-to-day maintenance of DFDS’ VMware and Hyper-V environments in multiple locations.
• Provide 2nd- and 3rd-line support for VMware, Hyper-V, and related Wintel issues.
• Take technical ownership and drive continuous improvement of hypervisor deployments.
• Coordinate Platform team’s priorities and tasks.

About You

• Solid experience as a System Administrator or Engineer, with focus on VMware and Hyper-V.
• Solid experience with Microsoft Windows servers.
• Good experience with physical server hardware handling and management.
• Good experience with scripting and automation in PowerShell.
• Good all-round Wintel knowledge, including backup services.
