What We Expect of You

• A passion for culinary artistry and a desire to innovate in the pastry kitchen.
• Background in high-end restaurant or pastry kitchen is advantageous.
• A proactive and upbeat demeanor that inspires excellence.
• Keen to take on new challenges and grow within your career.
• Qualifications in Patiserrie III and IV or equivalent are preferred.
• A current Victorian RSA is essential for your role.
• Embody a polished professionalism with an audacious approach to creativity; and a playful individual who is passionate in creating memorable guest experiences.

A Glance at What You Will Do

• Prepare and produce high-quality pastry and dessert items in line with hotel standards and recipes
• Assist in the daily mise en place, including doughs, cakes, mousses, sauces, and decorations
• Support pastry chefs during service periods, ensuring smooth and efficient operations
• Ensure cleanliness, hygeine, and safety standards are mainteind in the pastry kitchen 
• Properly label and store ingredients and finished products to maintain freshness and quality
• Follow portion control guidelines to minimise waste and maintain consistency
• Learn and apply new techniques under the mentorship of senior chefs
• Maintain awareness of dietary requirements, allergies, and special guest requests
