Research Assistant Professor

Applications are invited for appointment as Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.: 533268) (to commence as soon as possible on a two-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance)

Applicants should possess (i) a Ph.D. degree in medical science, biological or biomedical science, or a related discipline, with good experience in cell culture, molecular biology and animal handling; (ii) relevant post-doctoral training in Reproductive Biology; (iii) research expertise and experience in microfluidic technology and/or AI will be an advantage; and (iv) a strong track record of publishing high-quality research articles and grant applications. The appointee is expected to work independently as well as with other team members; manage on-going research projects on human fertilization and early embryo development; publish original research articles in high-impact journals; and secure external competitive grants.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.  At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income.  The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary.
