EnergyCo NSW is spearheading the transition to renewable energy to deliver clean electricity to the people of NSW as coal-fired power stations near closure.

About the Opportunity
Our EnergyCo NSW Technical Advisory Services team is currently seeking to appoint a Senior Technical Project and Policy Officer to lead and coordinate complex projects that drive the successful development and delivery of Renewable Energy Zones (REZ) and Priority Network Infrastructure Projects (PNIPs). Your work will involve undertaking in-depth research and data analysis to deliver high-quality strategic policy and legislative advice, directly informing government decision-making and the direction of the Energy Corporation of NSW. This role offers the chance to contribute to transformative energy initiatives that will have a lasting impact on the state’s energy security, sustainability and transition to net zero.

About You
You’re a data-savvy problem solver who knows how to turn complex analysis into practical insights. Comfortable working with Excel and data sets, you ideally bring energy sector experience and an understanding of how the electricity network operates, giving you the tools to tackle challenging project and policy issues. You’re curious, strategic and innovative, always looking for smarter ways to deliver outcomes within the framework of government policy, while knowing when to escalate critical matters.

You’ve managed complex projects and policy work in the past with a strong grasp of the legislation, frameworks and community expectations shaping energy generation, storage and transmission. Confident and collaborative, you engage effectively with senior decision-makers and stakeholders, influencing action and building partnerships to get results. Resilient and adaptable, you thrive in fast-paced environments and are motivated by helping deliver NSW’s energy transition.
